As a Certified Type A Dispatcher you will have the responsibility of exercising Operational Control and Flight Following over all flights allocated to you.

Reporting to the Chief Dispatcher, the Dispatcher will be involved in final certification and lead the Company into future growth. Excellent, management and communication skills are required for success in this role.

This position requires generic training as in the CASS 725.124 (21) (a) therefore the following qualifications are mandatory.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Have completed the generic exams within the previous 24 months, willing to locate to Toronto
• Have at least 2 years’ experience in a Type A dispatch
• Hold a valid Radio Telephone Operators Restricted Certificate
• Satisfy Transport Canada of competence for the position
• A valid passport with required visas with right to work in Canada if required
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous Dispatcher, training and checking experience an asset
• Recent relevant dispatch experience of turbojet aircraft preferably with Airbus
• An understanding and dedication to implementing a Safety Management System to meet and exceed regulatory requirements
• Excellent understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS)
• Advanced understanding of manual and training program creation, implementation and maintenance
• Ability to work with multiple departments to ensure manuals developed are linked and meet regulatory requirements
• Duties as in various manuals and as assigned by the Company
• Decision making on a frequent basis and making recommendation to Chief Dispatcher for continuous improvement
• Ability to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada and maintain required vaccination requirements for Federally regulated companies.
