GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Fleet Operations Scheduler role performs a variety of duties according to the functional work area assignment within the Jet Edge Operations Control Center (“OCC”) to include crew scheduling, trip construction, aircraft/airport selection, flight risk assessments, manifesting, international trip planning and coordination, flight following, and fuel planning. The Fleet Operations Scheduler will work as part of the Operations team to coordinate, oversee, and function as a main point of contact for the daily operation of Jet Edges’ managed fleet of super-mid to ultra-long range aircraft. Employees in this position partner with many facets of the operation to include Owner Services, Maintenance, Safety & Training, and Flight Operations and offers Jet Edge Clients a team-centered approach to meeting their aviation needs. This position is in direct contact with our high net worth Clients and their representatives - attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are essential personal qualities for the successful Feet Operations Scheduler. Immediate response to requests is of the utmost importance. The Fleet Operations Scheduler will also brief crewmembers and ensure Company compliance with all regulatory requirements and client agreements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Coordinate with and support flight crews in the planning of all domestic and international flights
  • Arrange for and coordinate FBO services, aircraft handling, and other as necessary
  • Obtain flight-related authorizations, including fuel releases, Intl. Overflight Permits, Customs, Immigration, and APIS for all flights as required
  • Ensure that available runway lengths are sufficient and flight times do not exceed aircraft performance capabilities regulatory crew duty/flight time allowance; build repositioning legs as appropriate for current and future trips
  • Coordinates facilitation of all flight releases for approval process from Flight Ops and Maintenance
  • Crew scheduling: to include the monitoring of crew flight, duty, and rest time limitations in accordance with FAR 135 and Jet Edge SOP’s, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.
  • Assist in crew scheduling and crew resource utilization along with Chief Pilots and Management
  • Notify and brief all crewmembers associated with scheduled trips as well as maintain communications with crew and assist in all crew associated travel plans as necessary
  • Monitor weather and airport conditions on a daily basis to ensure daily operations can be accomplished safely and without unexpected interruption.
  • Actively Flight Follow: monitor all aircraft movements both in the air and on the ground. Coordinate aircraft towing and fueling when and where necessary, coordination ground transportation, notification of clients, and other pertinent information
  • Act as a direct interface with Charter Sales, Maintenance, flight crews, and other internal as well as external representatives
  • Utilize FOS to its maximum ability with incorporating scheduling updates, airport/aircraft information, maintenance warnings and aircraft times and invoicing.
  • Strive to meet daily, monthly, and annual sales and operations goals.
  • Make rapid decisions concerning safety, regulations, and economy of operations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION)

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a course of study/major in business, aviation, or operations management; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid (or ability to renew/obtain) FAA Aircraft Dispatch License Required.
  • Previous aviation industry specific work experience
  • Experience with and an understanding of corporate aircraft operations and FAA regulations CFR 14 FAR 91 and 135
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and aptitude to learn customized company software programs.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business.
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work as a team member while meeting individual performance goals
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and demonstrate the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong personal and work ethic along with a high level of integrity.
  • Jet Edge is a 365/24/7 operation and candidate must be willing to work nights, weekends and holiday as schedule dictates.
