Jet Edge has an immediate need for Flight Operations Coordinators in our Columbus, Ohio office. The Flight Operations Coordinator works specifically in the Operations Control Center but also works with the executive team, marketing, accounting, flight operations, owner services, and crew scheduling.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The principle purpose of the Flight Operations Coordinator is to brief the crewmembers, be crew advocates, flight follow, and keeping the company compliant with all regulatory and maintenance requirements and client agreements.

 

Essential Duties:

 

  • Crewmember Logistical Resolution:  communicates and coordinates crewmember requests, arranges and updates crewmember operations issues (i.e. FBO after-hours arrangements, hangar space for aircraft, etc), facilitates and communicates crewmember transportation and hotel arrangements, records and manages crewmember flight and duty times.
  • Ensures safe and legal coordination of scheduled flights and that all crew member duty times are scheduled in accordance with FAR 135 and Jet Edge SOP’s, safety, security and quality standards.
  • Assists with assigning trips and building reposition (repo) legs for current day and future trips.
  • Assist with research of flight & service deviations.
  • Communicate changes to the appropriate departments within the Operations Control Center.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Oversee planning and coordination of international flights, including but not limited to: hotel arrangements, ground transportation.
  • Report non-compliance observations for any potential safety, security or quality issues.
  • Make rapid decisions concerning safety, regulations, and economy of operations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager.

 

Qualifications (Experience & Education):

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a course of study/major in business, aviation, or operations management; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Dispatch License Required.
  • Knowledge of FARs in regard to Part 91, 121, 125 or 135 airline operations preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and aptitude to learn customized company software programs.
  • Familiarity with core job competencies including, but not limited to, flight planning, international operations, weather, and ATC.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work productively, independently, or within a team.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills with the ability to self-motivate, handle multiple tasks, meet established targets.
