Working in the heart of the operation as an Aviation Security Officer. If you take pride in delivering a high-quality service, love working with people where no two days are the same, this could be the role for you! Our team of dedicated Aviation Security Officers make a difference to the quality and safety of travel of the customers at the airport and are trained and supported to carry out the role effectively. No two days will be the same, from carrying out escort duties including VIP’s to responding to emergency incidents.

Role Details

You will be trained to:

  • Control access into restricted areas of the Airport.
  • Screen personnel via body searches and bag searches
  • Carry out security Identification and boarding card checks to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) standard
  • Respond to and assisting with emergency situations such as aircraft emergencies, terminal evacuations, and security incidents.
  • Carry out escort duties, including special events as required
  • Provide proactive communication to ensure all personnel are fully prepared for Security screening
  • Undertake patrols as required
  • Read and adhere to security notices as well as completing required documentation
  • To be compliant with Aviation Security local operating procedures, working practices and protocols and airport bylaws
  • Undertake training including computer Based Training, mandatory Security Training in compliance with company and CAA standards
  • Meet compliance and throughput targets as stipulated by the DfT, CAA and the Security Management Team
  • Achieve an acceptable level of competence which is continuously measured through relevant performance evaluation means

  • Experience of working in a security role previously (e.g., carrying out security searches/checks or similar relevant experience
