Description

Western Michigan University is seeking qualified candidates to join our flight instructional team. Instructors would be responsible for teaching courses in a FAR Part 141 and Part 61 environment including but not limited to private, commercial, instrument, multi-engine and flight instructor courses.

The aircraft training fleet is comprised of state of the art, Cirrus SR20, SR22, American Champion 8KCAB, PA-44-180 and PA-18 Amphibian. (38 aircraft total)

Instructor pay is based on hourly instructional pay rates of: $18-23/ hour for intern (0 – 350 hours instruction given at WMU); $24-29/ hour for regular (350+ hours instruction given at WMU) and $15/hour for non-instructional duties.

Job Requirements:
Minimum qualifications include commercial SEL pilot certificate, and single engine airplane flight instructor certificate. Serious candidates will have their instrument instructor rating.
