Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, chartered, cargo and emergency air transport services to Nunavik and beyond- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - for over 44 years. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of 30 aircraft and employs approximately 900 employees in one of the world’s most challenging flight environments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist the captain in preparation for as well as the management of the flight.
  • Participate in the execution of flight deck, emergency, checklist and instrument approach procedures in accordance with company SOPs.
  • Supervise the loading of the aircraft, the preparation of the load sheet, refueling, daily pre-flight inspection and like tasks as assigned by the captain.
  • Assume the responsibility of a captain in the event of the latter's incapacitation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Must hold a valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical.
  • Must hold a valid Transport Canada Instrument Rating.
  • Must hold a valid Transport Canada Multi Engine Rating.
  • Must hold a valid Transport Canada Commercial Pilots Licence.
  • Must be able to obtain a CATSA Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
  • Must be fluent in two of the following languages: French, English and Inuktitut.
