AIR INUIT CORPORATE PROFILE
Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, chartered, cargo and emergency air transport services to Nunavik and beyond- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - for over 44 years. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of 30 aircraft and employs approximately 900 employees in one of the world’s most challenging flight environments.
Air Inuit Management and its team of dedicated employees are committed to pursuing their tradition of providing safe, punctual and courteous air service for the growing number of people living and doing business in this enchanting region of Nunavik in Northern Québec.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the captain in preparation for as well as the management of the flight.
- Participate in the execution of flight deck, emergency, checklist and instrument approach procedures in accordance with company SOPs.
- Supervise the loading of the aircraft, the preparation of the load sheet, refueling, daily pre-flight inspection and like tasks as assigned by the captain.
- Assume the responsibility of a captain in the event of the latter's incapacitation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Must hold a valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical.
- Must hold a valid Transport Canada Instrument Rating.
- Must hold a valid Transport Canada Multi Engine Rating.
- Must hold a valid Transport Canada Commercial Pilots Licence.
- Must be able to obtain a CATSA Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
- Must be fluent in two of the following languages: French, English and Inuktitut.
