About the Role

With the wheels up, now is the time to join our team legends! Our flight crew team play an integral part for us to become a leisure airline of choice for all Aussies. You will have the opportunity to work onboard Australia’s newest, most fuel efficient and technologically advanced fleet in Australia.

Our First Officer is Second in Command of the Bonza aircraft and will be responsible for the Safety and Customer Experience of all Cabin Crew and Customers on Bonza flights. You will support the Captain with pre-flight checks to the aircraft’s operational systems, flight plans and ensuring secure takeoffs and landings.

What does this role do?

• Together with the Captain, accountable for ensuring that safety regulations are adhered to and Bonza requirements are met.
• Role Modelling all Bonza Values and Behaviours and working as a team together with the Captain and Cabin Crew to ensure a high standard of service to Bonza customers.
• Plan flights by checking that the aircraft is operable and safe, that the cargo has been loaded correctly, and that weather conditions are acceptable.
• File flight plans with air traffic control and where necessary modify the plans in flight because of changing weather conditions or other factors.
• Comply with position accountabilities as described in Bonza SMS, WH&S, HF/NTS and company core values.

What we need from you:

• Hold a current and valid Australian ATPL or Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and pass in all Australian ATPL theory subjects.
• MCC Certificate.
• Australian Instrument Rating with MEA, IAP 2D and IAP 3D endorsement
• Valid Class One Medical
• Flown within the past 36 months
• English ICAO Level 6
• Eligible to live and work permanently in Australia
• Hold a passport allowing free travel worldwide
• The ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

• Non Type Rated

-Hold a minimum of 1000 hours PIC.

-Have a minimum total flight time of 1000 hours on a turbine powered fixed wing aircraft, OR total flight time of 750 hours on aircraft certified for operation by a crew of at least 2 pilots (multi-crew aircraft).

• Type Rated

-Minimum 1000 hours total time on turbine powered fixed wing aircraft

-Minimum of 500 hours on the B737Max OR 1000 hours on the B737NG

-Hold a 737-300 to 900 Type Rating
