The initial cadre of Vision Instructor Pilots will be instrumental in providing pivotal flight training to SF50 Vision Jetâ„¢ customers through type specific training in an in-depth part 142 course. This encompasses actively teaching a start to finish type rating with classroom instruction, instructing and operating in the industry's most advanced full-motion Level D simulators, and providing scenario based training in real world environments. Primary responsibilities include providing flight and ground instruction while guiding SF50 Vision Jet owners through the part 142 type rating course. Cirrus Vision Instructor Pilots personally ensure that every client has an outstanding experience with their aircraft through one on one mentorship in concert with real world aviation experiences. Post type rating evaluation, Vision Instructor Pilots mentor and improve customer experience through follow on cross country and sortie based training missions in customer aircraft. Vision Instructor Pilots will also serve as Pilot in Command through other responsibilities including flying to every corner of the United States, as well as dozens of international destinations, acting as pilot in command of Cirrus Vision SF50 Jet and SR series piston aircraft while performing CFR 14 part 91 corporate flight operations, demonstration flights, ferry flights, internal flight training and evaluation flights. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are required. Our instructors act as the face of the company in several different capacities while delivering the highest quality of flight instruction possible. The ability to cater instructing methods to a variety of student types and personalities is a must.Essential Duties:* Provide a first point of contact for clients to ensure all of their flight training questions are answered once an order is received. Ensure that their experience is positive and places the needs and expectations of the customer first.* Enhance flight safety by providing excellent, high quality, and standardized flight and ground instruction through a CFR 14 Part 61 and Part 142 type rating program.* Maintain communication with clients before and after flight training events.* Escalate client and internal pilot issues to the Lead Flight Instructors.* Perform aircraft acceptance/delivery flights.* Facilitate maintenance and delivery/acceptance squawks on newly delivered aircraft and corporate aircraft.* Conduct company standardization flights to ensure company pilots are operating within company standards.* Provide flight and ground instruction per standards defined in Cirrus policy and procedure documents in concert with Part 142 syllabus requirements.* Operate Cirrus aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations and Cirrus company policies.* Make timely and accurate decisions regarding safety of flight.* Manage travel expenses in accordance with Cirrus company policies.* Provide excellent and professional customer service.* Act as pilot in command of Cirrus Vision SF50 and SR series aircraft while performing corporate flight missions, ferry flights, internal training flights, and demonstration flights.* Provide factory tours to customers during the delivery and training process.* As required, assist the domestic and international sales team in the selling process, including supporting tradeshows and other Cirrus sales events.* Process and maintain a deep level of aircraft knowledge and be a model aviator, flight instructor, and Cirrus representative.* Perform normal pre-flight and post flight inspections as well as clean, fuel, add oil and de-ice fluid, update avionics subscriptions, etc.* Maintain Situational awareness as to the delivery status and progress of individual customer aircraftEducation and/or Experience:* Recent flight training experience in military, part 142, part 141, or General Aviation preferred* Instructor/Mentor/Company line check instruction or evaluation in part 135/121/141/142 authorized environment is preferred* Recent teaching experience in turboprop or turbofan aircraft preferred* Current and active FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI and CFII)* Current 1st or 2nd Class FAA Medical* Recent teaching experience in advanced Glass Cockpit preferred* 1500 hours of total flight time required* 1000 hours acting as instructor required 750 hours or more, please apply Advanced FTD/Full Flight Simulator experience preferred* Turbine Experience in IFR, congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, and night experience preferredAdditional Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required* Ability to work with other departments and outside vendors* Willingness to travel domestically in order to provide post Type Rating Mentorship to individual customers on a case by case basis* Handles guest problems and complaints* Displays guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations.* Anticipates guests' needs and responds promptly.* Strives to improve service performance.* Energizes the Cirrus Service EssentialsCertificate or Licensures:* FAA Certified Flight Instructor w/ Instrument (CFII) required* FAA 1st or 2nd class medical requiredThis opportunity is located in Knoxville, Tennessee.
