Job Description:
12 month contract
This is an intermittent role - successful CW's will fly on an as needed basis. When flying - paid day rate; when on reserve and no flying, paid 5 hrs @ hourly rate.

If you are selected as the Aircraft Pilot, you will fly on Q400 aircraft in support of Alaska operations based in Anchorage, AK. You will be responsible for supporting domestic flight operations requirements for client.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Safely/proficiently operating the company aircraft
  • Maintaining preparedness to proficiently operate as second-in-command for client Aviation, including being available with 1 hours' notice for Standby duty, when assigned
  • Maintaining the ability to readily adapt to changing schedules
  • Planning flights, selecting the safest and most efficient routes, providing for contingencies, and developing alternative flight plan routes
  • Calculating/solving weight and balance problems
  • Obtaining, reviewing, and interpreting weather
  • Checking NOTAMS
  • Utilizing Flight Risk Assessment Tool to assess and mitigate risk
  • Performing aircraft pre-flight and post flight inspections
  • Determining appropriate fuel loads
  • Determining the accurate loading of passengers, baggage and cargo
  • Completing records and appropriate entries in aircraft logbooks/operations forms
  • Operating aircraft in accordance with all applicable regulations and client Aviation Standard Operating Procedures
  • Being proactive/able to work effectively and efficiently, without direct supervision
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot

Job Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee or asylee
  • Valid driver's license
  • Commercial Pilot FAA Certificate, multi-engine land rating
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certification
  • Minimum 1,000 hours total flight time completed/logged
  • Minimum 500 hours multiengine airplane flight time completed/logged
  • Minimum 100 hours PIC airplane flight time completed/logged
  • Minimum 100 hours multiengine PIC airplane flight time completed/logged
  • Dash 8 type rating
  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodations) to travel 10% on an annual basis
  • 5+ years of direct aviation experience

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of direct aviation experience
  • Previous experience in an advanced technology cockpit with EFIS and FMS systems
  • Ability to lead and develop a seamless rapport with the pilots and other members of the department's team
  • Actively communicates and takes time to safely perform work to protect our people/environment

Screening: Class I Flight Physical (FAA), Drug Screen, Auditory, Background Check
