Purpose:
Berry Aviation, Inc. operates a fleet of two SA-227C Metroliners and 4 Army LUH Helicopters in support of the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site located in Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands approximately 2,200 miles southwest of Hawaii

Responsibilities:

  • Pilot our Metroliners for radar support personnel and others to the island of Roi-Namur (50nm north) on a day to day basis.
  • Fly to Wake Island 650nm north and Majuro Island 250nm south of Kwajalein Atoll periodically.
    As per contract, this is a dual-rated position At-Will contract. This is an accompanied position.
  • This is a TDY position and deployments will be no more than 90 days at a time, our typical rotations are approximately 60 days on and 60 days off.

Required:

  • FAA Commercial Pilot with Multi Engine Instrument privileges
  • 500 Hours Total Flight Time in Airplanes
  • 25 Hours Multi Engine Flight Time in Airplanes
  • Current US Passport with at least 6 months remaining at all times during employment period
  • Current FAA First Class Medical
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a current and valid FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit (RR)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel away from domicile for long periods of time
  • High School Diploma

Preferred:

  • FAA Multi Engine Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • 1000 Hours Total Flight Time in Airplanes
  • 100 Hours Multi Engine Flight time in Airplanes
  • Undergraduate Degree

Physical requirements of the job:
Incumbent is required to: be able to lift a minimum of 50 Lbs., perform aircraft piloting duties for up to 10 hours a day, be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions while working outside including but not limited to extreme heat, cold and adverse weather conditions.
