Job Title: Structural Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL OR Titusville, FL OR Houston, TX OR San Antonio, TX
Contract: 6 Months (possibility od extension)
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Support and confirmation of fracture assessments for service life requirements.
- Strength analysis will include interpretation of vehicle loads and environments, stress calculations and development of margins of safety with known allowable.
- Observance of program standards and requirements to insure structural integrity, and documentation of stress reports.
- Plans and organizes structural analysis work at the program level to assure total compliance with structural integrity and stability requirements.
- Develops, integrates and documents complex or unique structural requirements to establish the system design.
- Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
- Support and confirmation of fracture assessments for service life requirements.Qualifications (Experience):
- Experience with Aerospace Structural hardware and Finite Element Method (FEM).
- Excellent strength reporting writing skills.
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA) including NASTRAN.
- Some experience with launch vehicle structures.
Education/experience:
- Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+7 years' related work experience, Master+9 years' related work experience).
