Job Summary Responsible to gather complete and accurate data for the verification process of insurance coverage to ensure the patient account is ready for billing and collections per the department policy and procedures. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: • Secure necessary insurance and patient demographic information while following HIPPA laws. Verify and enter appropriate insurance into billing system to bill for services • Manage follow-ups to patient accounts to obtain insurance information. • Follow department procedures to notify Leadership and update the system with new Payor information. • Review and resolve any transports on assigned Team reports • May assist in the training of new employees and the formulation of specific training
